Help users Help themselves with Parry

Mr Parry starts minimised to be unobtrusive, he runs natively in windows on .net 4.7 and requires no installation. Automatic updates are built into the application and he will update himself on startup. Mr Parry logs each time a button is clicked giving more information as to how much time he is saving for the users. (The logs are saved on the server, we collect no data.) 

Restarting applications can be cumbersome, Mr Parry will kill the application for the current user and restart it without having to use task manager and find the icon to restart. 

A common issue following an SOSConnect crash, this button simply opens a couple of locations where documents may be found, this is an incredibly simple button but saves users a considerable amount of time. 

- Mr parry is now able to read an entire folder of documents and find a reference in each document. An XML file is created to automatically upload the document into the corresponding matter within your application. 

- Mr P can also bulk convert .MSG (emails) and images to pdf. 

Mr Parry can install specific parts needed within the SOS application and Practice Manager. An IT person can run the instillations easily without having to find them on the network. Additional features such as a complete re-install of SOSconnect is handy if there is an error during an update on the SOS Launcher. This sub section includes all the MSIs installers and all the possible reg fixes to help users and their IT team fix issues over the phone.  Running Mr Parry as admin is also a feature, put your admin credentials in only once and Parry can install without having to continually input a username and password.

This sub menu provides quick support tools and links making it quicker for the user to find support and release notes.

The Special button menu already has a number of features that are useful for a firm with SOSconnect and this area is under development for some exciting new features. 

The tools sub menu contains a few useful installers

- 7zip : A no nonsense compression tool.

- WinMTR Traceroute : This simple to use traceroute tool can identify packet loss on your network. If applications are receiving disconnection messages use this before trying Wireshark.

- TextPad V8 : Text pad is similar to notepad ++ but text pad is capable of opening very large files (2gb). It can also replace text in multiple files at once. V8 was a free to use non nonsense version.

- .net repair tool : This tool is especially useful if the event viewer is showing .net application crashes
